The Surface of Mars

I did this painting a while ago, but couldn't get the photo off my phone. i did this back in February half-term between being sowed under with essay work. Then for a long time it sat only half finished in my room. It didn't have much luck really

Originally I was going to do the sky very....blue. But I've done a lot of canvases with a blue sky (see 30STM paintings), so this one bacme red. I think it looks better like that - there's more of a 'glow' to it.
